Derval O’Rourke –Ireland’s hurdles queen and world medalist – has set her sights on Olympic glory in  London this summer. We were lucky enough to catch up with her, despite her grueling schedule, and asked her a few questions about what she thought of the Mitsubishi ASX and more…

What was your very first car?  A ford fiesta that was about 7 years old

What do you like about the ASX? I like the shape of the asx alot. It also drives very well.

Any funky features? Absolutely. I love the hill start assist feature as well as the telescopic adjustment steering.

Is there anything you don’t like about the ASX? No it’s very hard to find a fault with it

Describe your style I’m quite fun but also like to be efficient and get things done.

Does this car fit with your style? Yes I think so the design and colour make the car fun but it is a very efficient car also.

Who would you recommend this car to? Definitely sporty people who have gear bags or equipment as it has tons of space. Probably anybody to be honest I don’t think there is a group that wouldn’t enjoy it.

What do you never leave home without? My iPhone

Who would be your dream passenger? Jay z

Ideal road trip for the ASX? To Cork with my training group (I did this last week)

What CD are you listening to in your car? Watch the throne- Jay z and kanye west

Describe the ASX in three words  fun, reliable and efficient.
