Nicole Drought is set to make her rally debut at the Killarney Historic Rally this weekend
Having successfully tested a 600 bhp McLaren GT3 car at Silverstone just a few weeks ago, Nicole Drought moves to the other end of the spectrum this weekend as she makes her rally debut at the Killarney Historic Rally at the wheel of a Mini Cooper S.
Nicole will drive the E Fox Engineers Mini for the first time this Friday, just a day ahead of the event, having completed her recce last Sunday in her Joe Mallon Motors Renault Clio. Nicole will be joined by Aaron McElroy, who sat with her on the way to two Endurance Trial class championships in 2018 and 2019. This, however, will be the first rally for the pair, starting off with the famous Molls Gap stage!
Nicole Drought: “I grew up watching my Dad rallying and was always involved in the crew at service etc. In many ways this is a dream come true, but it definitely won’t be easy. The stages are amazing and even though the car is pretty standard, it should be great fun. If we make it to the end on Saturday evening, we will be celebrating! I’d like to thank Craig Fox from E Fox Engineers Ltd and Brian Matthews from Patch Tyre Equipment for making this possible, as well as my usual commercial partners too.”
