We’re very excited to announce that Nicole Lynch is joining WheelsForWomen.ie as a regular contributor
Riding motorbikes since she was four, Nicole Lynch from Clondalkin in Dublin is no stranger to the sport. Her family are steeped in it and she began her own racing career in 2013, as a sidecar passenger with brother Dylan and solo rider in the Masters Championships and the Irish Short Circuit Championships, garnering numerous podium finishes and awards.
In 2016, she was the first female Irish rider to be accepted to compete in the European Junior Cup, run as part of the World Superbike Championships. In 2017, while also racing in the Republic and Northern Ireland, her big competition lies in the UK, atop a Medlar Racing Suzuki SV650 in the Supertwins class of the Thundersport GB Championship in England and Wales. Thundersport GB is seen as an important stepping stone towards a potential professional career in motorbike racing, her dream goal.
However, in common with many motorbike racers, her road vehicle of choice has four wheels and, as a brand ambassador for Flogas Ireland and drives a Dacia Logan converted to Flogas Autogas .
Nicole will be writing a monthly blog “Life on Two Wheels” for wheelsforwomen.ie.
Wheelsforwomen.ie is Ireland’s first and only motoring site to cater for women. Launched on International Women’s Day on March 8th 2012 the site features honest, informative, and jargon-free car reviews, news and features and all are written by women for women. Founded by Sunday Independent Motoring Columnist Geraldine Herbert, Wheelsforwomen.ie covers a broad range of topics from jargon free car reviews to maintenance and driving tips.
