Interior Clean

Interior Clean

If you consider how much time you spend in your car vs. time spent in your living room you would understand why it’s so important to keep it looking/smelling good!

Not only is clean interior better for your mood, it’s also healthier! No-one wants to be breathing in dust and bits of dirt!

A well-kept interior will also increase the value when it’s time to sell.

  •  Firstly, take out anything you don’t need! Not only will it make it easier to keep clean but will save you on fuel bills too! (Don’t forget to clean out the glove box and ashtrays)

  • Interior CleanNext, concentrate on the windows – Your usual window cleaner and some old newspaper will do this job perfectly – To make sure you get all the streaks out do the outside and inside of the glass (Remember to clean in the direction of the wires on a heated rear-window).

  • Keep those dust mites under control with a damp cloth – wipe down the dash, steering wheel and then concentrate on all the other interior plastics – Don’t forget to wipe your seat belts! If you want to see more of a shine you can pick up vinyl/plastic/dash cleaner in any motor shop – just make sure to spray it directly onto the cloth rather than the dash as overspray will streak your windscreen (and leave marks on paintwork).

  • If your seats are relatively clean you can give them a quick wipe with a damp cloth too – if not you may need to use some carpet/upholstery shampoo ( just remember to do a spot test first!).  Remember to let the seats dry properly before you sit in them!  If you have leather seats/steering wheel you will need to use special leather cleaner and treatment to keep them in good condition.

  • Interior CleanNow it’s time to pull out the hoover – start in the boot, then work your way forward. Make sure to move the front seats all the way forward so you can get that carpet underneath. Move them all the way back when you’re doing the front foot-wells. If you have separate floor mats take them out and clean underneath!

  • For a finishing touch, spritz some of your favorite perfume into the headrests (once again, do a spot test to make sure it doesn’t stain) and admire your hard work!
