What was your first car and why did you buy it? I bought my first car in 2006. It was a 1995 1.2L Opel Corsa with no power steering. I bought it so I didn’t have to get the train home to Co.Down from Dublin each weekend, I could just jump in the car when it suited me.

What did you pay for it? I think I paid around €2000 for it.

How did it change your life?It was great, straight away I bought a fancy stereo that I could connect my iPod to and I never looked back. No more trains and I was able to travel to any motorsport event that I wanted without a second thought which made a big difference to me!

What was the longest trip you ever took in the car? Most weekends I would set off on a 2 hour drive home from Dublin to Co. Down to spend time with my family and friends.

What was your best memory or most memorable moment in the car? My best memory would have to be driving the car home from the garage when I bought it. I was very nervous but excited at the same time.

What was your worst memory associated with the car? My worst memories would have to be anytime I had to park the car, the lack of power steering was a nightmare.

How long did you keep your first car? I only kept it for around a year. I sold it before the NCT expired!
