New Year, New Car?

car_washing_main

There may be plenty of bargains out there for a new car but if you’re happy with what you have why change? Just a little elbow grease can make it feel brand new writes Suzanne Keane

1. Interior

Scrub your carpets, treat any stains and make sure to sort out any nasty smells. Make sure the plastic/vinyl is gleaming and if your seats have any tears or scuffs or if the foam has faded check out your local scrapyard or eBay for a new set! If your budget doesn’t stretch that far invest in some seat covers.

2. Glass

If simply cleaning your windows isn’t working any more get yourself some glass polish to sort out those minor chips and scratches and keep your windows looking clear! This has the added advantage of making rain run off your windows when you’re driving!

3. Wiper blades

There’s no point in having spotlessly clean windows if your wipers smudge every time it rains – let’s face it that happens more often than not! A new, clean set of wiper blades will make sure you can see clearly!

4. Tyres

If the tread pattern on your tyres is still good some tyre shine along the sidewall will make them look like new! Remember to start off by scrubbing your wheels too!

5. Shine

A quick wash, polish and wax will have your paintwork looking like new in no time! Check out our car wash guide here!
