Polestar 5 Makes Its Irish Debut: 884hp Electric Grand Tourer Arrives in Dublin

There are moments when a car doesn’t just arrive,  it announces itself. This week that moment belongs to the Polestar 5.

The four-door electric performance Grand Tourer is now available for a static preview from 24th–26th February, ahead of its official Irish launch this Summer.

Born from bold ambition and shaped by Scandinavian precision, the Polestar 5 is the flagship expression of everything the Swedish EV brand stands for.

From Concept to Reality: The Vision Realised

Back in 2020, Polestar unveiled the Precept concept a manifesto of future design, sustainability and cutting-edge technology. The Polestar 5 is that manifesto brought to life.

Low, wide and unmistakably modern, it blends the sleek silhouette of a coupé with the practicality of a four-door GT. Its bonded aluminium body sits on the bespoke Polestar Performance Architecture, delivering lightweight rigidity and razor-sharp dynamics.

Engineering Meets Elegance

Look closer and the details reveal the depth of engineering:
  • 4-piston Brembo brakes (Swedish gold finish on Performance edition)

  • SmartZone™ advanced driver assistance system

  • 11 exterior cameras

  • Driver monitoring camera

  • Mid-range radar

  • 12 ultrasonic sensors

It’s technology seamlessly integrated rather than overtly displayed very much in keeping with Polestar’s minimalist Scandinavian ethos.

Inside, the cabin mirrors that philosophy. Clean lines, sustainable materials, and a driver-focused cockpit create a space that feels progressive yet luxurious. It’s less about excess and more about intention.

Completing the Irish Line-Up

The Polestar 5 now crowns a growing Irish range that includes:

  • Polestar 2 – from €39,900

  • Polestar 4 – from €56,490

  • Polestar 3 – from €73,590

  • Polestar 5 – from €130,700

With the addition of the 5, Polestar now offers a complete electric spectrum — from accessible premium EV to flagship performance Grand Tourer.

Why the Polestar 5 Matters for Ireland

Buyers are no longer asking if electric can replace combustion  they’re asking how far it can go. With up to 678km of range, supercar-rivalling acceleration and 350kW charging capability, the Polestar 5 answers that question.

See It Before It Launches

The Polestar 5 is available for preview at Polestar Dublin, Sandyford from 24th–26th February, before its official Irish launch in Summer 2026.
