Review: PNY Outdoor Charger

The Outdoor Charger is made for those who love the open air writes Geraldine Herbert

What is it? The PNY  Outdoor Charger is a tough go-anywhere power bank that is specifically designed to be used in more challenging environments,

Who is it best for? If you are no stranger to the outdoors and are happiest when carrying a dusty backpack packed full of survival essentials then this is the perfect charging device for you and it just happens to attach conveniently onto that backpack!

Best points? It is resistant to both dust and water splashes and is also designed to withstand knocks and shocks due to its robust and rubbery shell. It also comes with a carabiner, micro-USB and mini-USB cable making it the perfect outdoor PowerPack for those wildernesses loving backpackers.

Anything else? There is also a really useful built-in LED flashlight. Simply hold down by a large button on the side of the powerbank for a second or so and it is significantly brighter than a flashlight.

Where can I get one? The Outdoor charger is available from Amazon and Skinflint

Will it break the bank? The PNY is competitively priced from around €21.

What’s the verdict? While there is a wide choice of Powerbanks on the market few are as robust and as suitable to the great outdoors as the PNY Outdoor Charger making it an ideal travel companion where ever your destination. So if you are looking for a portable, but sturdy power source, then you should consider PNY’s Outdoor Charger.

Why you will buy one? Study; well priced; built in torch
Why you won’t? Bulky
