Car Dealers are offering everything from discounts, shopping vouchers and free servicing to attract buyers into their showrooms, writes Geraldine Herbert
Now is a good time to buy an Audi A3, with APR rates from 2.9% per month as well as a number of exclusive upgrade packages. The French carmaker Citroën plans to lure potential 201 buyers into its showrooms with zero APR rates on the C3, C4 Cactus and the Grand C4 SpaceTourer; elsewhere in the range, a rate of 3.9% is offered. Citroën is also offering a scrappage deal on cars ordered and delivered before December 31. Amounts range from €1,000 on the C1 to €4,000 on the SpaceTourer. Plus, all new Citroëns come with a five-year extended warranty.
Dacia is offering zero deposit and 4.9% APR PCP with Dacia Finance across the range including Duster, Sandero, Stepway and Logan models.
Ford has a range of offers as part of their 201 sales event, including a registration bonus of up to €1,000, seven-year warranty and seven years roadside assistance. Offers include a rate of 3.9% APR on the Fiesta Titanium and the EcoSport Titanium while the Focus ST-Line is available with a 1.9% APR rate.
Honda is offering Civic buyers a 3.9% APR on Hire Purchase or PCP or Complimentary Platinum Service Plan on any Civic purchased before December 31, 2019, and registered before January 31, 2020. Also for 201, customers can upgrade to the four-door Civic saloon for the same price as the five-door hatchback. The saloon premium-grade also carries a higher specification than the premium hatchback, including LED fog lights, LED headlights with washer and wireless charging, all valued at €500.
Book a new Hyundai in November and you can avail of one of three offers. Choose from five years servicing bonus, 3.9% finance or a scrappage bonus of up to €5,000. The offer does not apply to the Kona electric or Ioniq electric.
Kia is kicking off its January sales push with a €500 SuperValu voucher on all cars ordered before December 18. They are also offering 0% APR on hire purchase on the Sportage, Stonic and Ceed ranges, 3.9% on all other models and 3.9% APR on PCP across the entire Kia range.
To tempt buyers into their hybrid range, Lexus is offering a hybrid trade-up allowance of €2,000 on the IS 300h, NX 300h and UX 250h and 3.9% APR on the IS 300h, NX 300h UX 250h and ES 300h. For 201 Mazda is focused on upgrading customers into higher-spec grades or into new technology. This will apply to all cars across the range and the cost-saving will depend on the model, grade and engine.
Until April 30, 2020, MINI is offering upgrade contributions of up to €1,000 across its range and APR rates from as low as 1.9%.
Order a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV by December 31 and you will receive an €800 home charging point for free along with a Dunnes Stores voucher worth €800. Until December 18, Mitsubishi is also offering a €500 Dunnes Stores voucher with every Eclipse Cross and ASX ordered. Trade-in your current 4×4 for a new Mitsubishi L200 before January 31 and you’ll receive a €1,500 Trade-in Booster. There are also finance offers from as low as 1.9p% across the Mitsubishi range.
Subscribe and Drive is a new monthly subscription service offer from Nissan which will allow motorists to own a new car for as little as €356 per month without having to pay a deposit. Motorists signing up have the choice of paying their monthly subscription fee over a 24-month or 36-month term, subject to finance approval, with the monthly cost of the car they choose varying accordingly. Subscribers opting for a 36-month term can expect to pay €356 per month for a Micra, €543 per month for the best-selling Qashqai or €605 per month for the 40 kWh fully electric Leaf. Trade-in your old car or van and get up to €5,500 trade-in value against any new Nissan. This offer is available across their commercial and passenger range until December 31. To help make the big electric switch, Nissan is offering up to €3,500 scrappage on Leaf. There is also 3.9% finance across the range and 0pc HP on the Micra.
Peugeot’s 201 Drivetime event is taking place in dealerships nationwide. Offers include a five-year warranty on passenger cars, plus, dependent on model, low-cost finance from 3.9% PCP or HP, scrappage of up to €4,000 or a deposit contribution of up to €750.
Customers looking to buy a 201 Renault can avail of a €1,000 carbon cashback, 2.01% APR on the Zoe, Clio, Captur, Kadjar and Meane ranges. Kadjar customers can avail of savings of €4,000, with €1,000 cashback and €3,000 finance savings, and all 201 offers are available on all orders taken from now until January 31, 2020. For commercial buyers, the Kangoo, Master and Trafic can avail of 3.9% APR over five years, with five years warranty and five years roadside assistance.

Zero per cent PCP finance is available from Skoda on all orders taken before December 31 and registered before February 29. Suzuki dealers around the country are offering 0% apr on Swift, Ignis, Vitara and SX4 S-Cross models.
Toyota is offering Yaris buyers a €2,500 trade-in booster and 3.9% APR rates and, on the petrol, APR rates of 2.9%. PCP rates start from 4.9% for hybrids and there are trade-in boosters of up to €3,000, depending on the model. There is also 3.9% HP on some commercial models and a €2,500 scrappage scheme.
Volkswagen is offering 0% APR PCP finance on many models and deposit contributions of up to €2,500 on selected models. The brand is also operating a scrappage scheme of sorts in the form of the Volkswagen Climate Action Grant, which incentivises buyers of older Euro 1-4 cars into newer Volkswagen models.
