It’s been a busy few weeks for Nicole Lynch who has been racing \u00a0at the\u00a0Anglesey\u00a0circuit\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Thundersport GB Championship<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Anglesey was the next round of the Thundersport GB Championship, located just past Holyhead in Wales. It was the closest to a \u2018home race\u2019 as I would get this year. There was a lot of Irish riders over for the weekend as it\u2019s closer to Dublin than Bishopscourt in the North, as the crow flies! This was great, as it\u2019s always good to have familiar faces around, which is something that has been different for me this year, where I\u2019ve had to get used to new faces in a new paddock at every race meeting.<\/p>\n

The weekend had amazing weather, which couldn\u2019t have been more perfect for a circuit that overlooks the ocean. My absolute favourite thing about it is a corner that falls away a bit and as you come around it, all you can see is the ocean in front of you. I\u2019m a real water baby, and love being close to the sea and I even managed to pop down to a local cove for a swim over the weekend!<\/p>\n

I struggled a little bit with the racing side of things, unfortunately, as the bike had a bit of an engine issue that caused it to lose power over the weekend. However, it didn\u2019t dampen my spirits, I enjoyed the circuit and still had a couple of solid finishes. Every race this year is a learning one and it will mean that next year I can use my hard won knowledge to cut down on the time needed to set up for each round. It\u2019s all very valuable information such as gearing, fuelling and track layout that must be learned every time you go out.<\/p>\n

Although racing motorbikes is my favourite thing to do, I also occasionally receive offers I can\u2019t refuse, such as a phone call from the editor of Bike Buyers Guide asking me if I\u2019m available to test ride a motorbike for them the next day. Of course, my immediate answer was yes.<\/p>\n

Honda CBR650<\/strong><\/h4>\n

After racing on a Honda CBR650 in the European Junior Cup throughout Europe last year you could say I have a pretty good insight into this bike. After all, I had race prepped it, rebuilt it and pushed it to its limits. So, Bike Buyers Guide decided I would be the perfect person to test ride the road version for Honda Ireland. I was delighted to get the call as I was also interested in finding out how the road bike would differ from my race one. I had a great time so If you\u2019d like to read my review of the Honda you can find it in the latest edition of Bike Buyers Guide magazine. Look out for future issues for more of my bike reviews.<\/p>\n
