Make sure to apply the product to the cloth and not directly onto the plastic.<\/li>\n<li>You can repeat this on any external unpainted plastics &#8211; i.e. on mudflaps, edges of lights, rubbing strips, window and door rubbers, aerials, wiper arms (not on the part that touches the glass) etc.<\/li>\n<li>If your &#8220;black&#8221; plastics are looking grey, they will need a little extra TLC &#8211; You can buy &#8220;Back-to-Black&#8221; products in loads of different brands and price ranges.\u00a0<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>My favorite one is Autoglym Bumper Care. It looks like green gel, goes on easy, turns the plastic to a very dark grey (not black ) but lasts for ages. Make sure not to get any of this on your paintwork!!<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regular treatment of window and door seals\/rubbers (as above) will keep them in good condition for longer, however if they are cracked they may be past repair and you might want to look into replacing them to avoid leaks!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-2702 alignright\" title=\"Showroom Shine - Tyres\" alt=\"Showroom Shine - Tyres\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wheelsforwomen.ie\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/5892_145665696354_1322322_n-300x291.jpg\" width=\"126\" height=\"122\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wheelsforwomen.ie\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/5892_145665696354_1322322_n-300x291.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wheelsforwomen.ie\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/5892_145665696354_1322322_n.jpg 467w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 126px) 100vw, 126px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tyres &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can use the same products (or buy specialist tyre treatments) to get your tyres looking like new! Once again, be careful not to get any on the wheels, and ONLY treat the sidewall of the tyre &#8211; never where it&#8217;s going to be in contact with the road!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-2700\" title=\"Showroom Shine - Tyre Sponge\" alt=\"Showroom Shine - Tyre Sponge\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wheelsforwomen.ie\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Atomiza_Crescent_Tyre_Dressing_Sponge2_p-150x150.jpg\" width=\"90\" height=\"90\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wheelsforwomen.ie\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Atomiza_Crescent_Tyre_Dressing_Sponge2_p-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.wheelsforwomen.ie\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Atomiza_Crescent_Tyre_Dressing_Sponge2_p.jpg 250w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 90px) 100vw, 90px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>I have a special tyre sponge &#8211; that&#8217;s shaped so you only need to run it around the edge of the tyr<\/em><em>e for a perfect finish.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Last few steps &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a quick look around the car and make sure you haven&#8217;t missed any patches.
