The supreme winner of the Women's World Car of the Year 2012 Range Rover Evoque<\/p><\/div>\n

\u00a020 judges, women motoring writers from around the world who collectively\u00a0command an audience (readers, viewers, listeners) of around 70 million have selected the Women’s World Car of the Year.<\/p>\n

There are four categories in the awards structure.\u00a0 Judges award points for every car from a voting criteria and the car receiving the highest number of points wins that category.\u00a0 The car receiving the highest number of points overall wins both the category and the supreme award. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\n2nd – Jaguar XJ
\n3rd – Audi A6\u00a0<\/div>\n

Sports car:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1st – Porsche 911
\n2nd – Jaguar XKR
\n3rd – Mercedes Benz SLK<\/div>\n

Economy car:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1st – Honda Civic
\n2nd – VW Up!
\n3rd – Ford Fiesta<\/p>\n

The supreme winner of the Women’s World Car of the Year 2012 is:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Range Rover Evoque<\/strong>
\n2nd<\/sup> place – BMW 3-series
\n3rd<\/sup> place Audi Q3<\/p>\n

The voting procedures were audited by international accountancy company, Grant Thornton.\u00a0 Director, Paul McCormick, says\u00a0 it was a close-run race but there were some clear leaders in each category as votes arrived.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe results for second and third, however, changed back and forth and with each addition of votes the differing opinions from the judges changed the results with every entry.\u201d<\/p>\n

The supreme award trophy will this year be made in The Netherlands. That, and category-winner certificates, will be presented at the Mondial de l’Automobile \u2013 The Paris Motor Show – in late September.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
