So what is it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A \u201cwrap\u201d is a PVC Vinyl which is directly applied to the bodywork of a car – to some or all panels depending on your requirements. It\u2019s ideal if you want to provide long term protection for your existing paint or feel like a change \u2013 or even just for advertising your business on a few panels.<\/p>\n

The big advantage of wraps over paint is that you can get finishes which aren\u2019t possible with painting alone \u2013 such as a \u201cchromed\u201d\u00a0 or \u201ccarbon fibre\u201d car. It\u2019s also ideal for customisation on the boot or bonnet.<\/p>\n

Your original paintwork is also protected underneath the wrap from natural hazards, UV rays and weather. If your car is damaged it\u2019s easy to re-wrap the offending panels rather than trying to match paint which may have faded over time.<\/p>\n

A wrap isn\u2019t permanent and can be removed (by specialists) at any time to restore the car to its original finish (paint which is damaged before the wrap is applied will peel off on removal). It will usually take between 2-5 working days to apply and depending on quality and how it\u2019s been looked after can last for 5-8 years and won\u2019t need waxing during this time. However, you\u2019ll have to invest in a bucket and sponge as automatic car washes will damage the Wrap.<\/p>\n

What to look out for?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each panel should be wrapped separately for the best finish. A good quality wrap will never have any joints on a panel and will have no sign of bubbles or creases and will give the illusion of being \u201cpainted\u201d with a different texture and finish \u2013 and always ask about warranty!<\/p>\n
