Not Helen’s car but one that looks almost as good<\/p><\/div>\n

What was your first car and why did you buy it?<\/strong>
\nMy first car was a 1967 Morris Minor. I only did my Driving Test in the 90\u2019s and passed first time!! My late Partner and I set up and ran the Irish Morris Minor Owners Club, so I\u00a0had to have a \u201cmoggy\u201d! She was a beauty in cream and navy blue with navy interior trim with cream piping.<\/p>\n

How did it change your life?<\/strong>
\nI loved having the freedom to go anywhere at my own spreed, my own route, with the radio on my favourite station.<\/p>\n

What was the longest trip you ever took in the car?<\/strong>
\nI did a lot of driving around Dublin and the country in it\u00a0going to Bandon, Co.Cork and Navan<\/p>\n

What was the worst\u00a0moment in the car?<\/strong>
\nMy worst memory were those associated with\u00a0dying batteries, particular one time with a friend and her\u00a0young son in the car!<\/p>\n

Any memorable journeys, good or bad?<\/strong>
\nIt\u00a0decided to die on the old slip road\u00a0from the Blanchardstown by pass onto to\u00a0the M50 in the middle of tea time traffic in\u00a0the few days before Christmas!!!! I had a\u00a0spare battery but just couldn\u2019t lift it out of\u00a0the boot. Finally a very kind man decided\u00a0to help me. (Well, he didn\u2019t really have\u00a0much choice as i was blocking the road!!)\u00a0But he was very surprised when I\u00a0was\u00a0able to tell him what was wrong and that\u00a0I\u00a0had a spare battery!!!!\u00a0The worst time was its final trip. She got was was known as \u201csore paw\u201d basically the drive to the front wheels broke, and as this was long after my Partner had died, there was nobody who could fix it for me, so she had to go. Very sad time but have very fond memories. I then got a beautiful Nissan Almeria<\/p>\n
