The new Mitsubishi L200 starts at \u20ac27,359 ex VAT<\/p><\/div>\n

What is it?<\/strong>\u00a0Crew cabs may have vanished off our roads over the past few years but with the expected growth in the construction industry kicking off Mitsubishi are launching their 5th<\/span>\u00a0generation L200 double cab at just the right time.<\/p>\n

First impressions of the new L200:<\/strong>\u00a0The L200 has retained its iconic styling but the new model has a slightly curvier appearance with lots of chrome detailing and 17\u201d alloys as standard.<\/p>\n

What about the interior?<\/strong>\u00a0Step up into the cabin and you\u2019ll find a leather multi-function steering wheel, USB connectivity and a 6.1\u201d touchscreen. The interior is quite basic but should be easy to keep clean and has plenty of room for 5 as it\u2019s 20mm longer inside than the previous model which gives it the longest cabin length in its class. There\u2019s also hidden storage space behind the rear seats for valuable tools.<\/p>\n

And on the road?<\/strong>\u00a0The 2.4 engine provides plenty of pulling power – which was proven by many wheel spins in 2wd mode on the wet and slippy test route! It\u2019s not the quietest or most refined diesel engine out there and the almost 3 tonne body doesn\u2019t encourage spirited driving but the L200 is designed to be a practical workhorse and has a payload of 1,050kg to prove it.<\/p>\n

How Much?<\/strong>\u00a0Road tax on both the manual and automatic versions will set you back just \u20ac333 and combined consumption is just 6.6l\/100km (7.2 in the auto version). The L200 starts at \u20ac27,359 ex VAT.<\/p>\n

How Safe?<\/strong>\u00a0The L200 now comes with many safety features as standard such as 7 airbags, Lane Departure Warning, Trailer Stability Assist and 2 ISOfix fittings in the back.<\/p>\n

What about my options:<\/strong>\u00a0Available with a choice of either a\u00a06 speed manual or a\u00a05 speed automatic \u00a0both are powered by a 2.4L 181PS Diesel engine and four\u00a0wheel drive. Bluetooth, USB connectivity, leather multi-function steering wheel, air conditioning, reversing camera and cruise control all come as standard.<\/p>\n
