Range Rover Velar<\/p><\/div>\n

Land Rover has unveiled the first new Range Rover in a decade, the Velar writes Geraldine Herbert<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

  1. The new model will sit between the entry-level Range Rover Evoque and the larger and more expensive Range Rover Sport.<\/li>\n
  2. Based most likely on the Jaguar F-Pace we would expect the new SUV to be offered as a\u00a0two- or four-door with five-seats.<\/li>\n
  3. The name Velar is an old code-name for pre-production Range Rovers and is derived from the Latin\u00a0velaris<\/em>, which means “to veil or cover.”<\/li>\n
  4. Engines are likely to include the familiar Jaguar line up from the 2.0 diesel to the supercharged 3.0 litre V6 petrol.<\/li>\n
  5. This sleek SUV is designed to take on the likes of the Porsche Macan, the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Coupe and BMW\u2019s X4.<\/li>\n
  6. According to Land Rover The Velar is an \u201c avant garde Range Rover that brings a new dimension of glamour, modernity and elegance to the brand\u201d<\/li>\n
  7. We will get our first glimpse of the new SUV when it makes its debut at the Geneva Motor show on March 7.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
