Tyres<\/strong> \u2013 Make sure there is plenty of tread left, and that the wear is even across them; and don\u2019t forget the spare.<\/p>\n

Wheels<\/strong> \u2013 Check the wheels carefully for any marks or scuffs caused by kerbing.<\/p>\n

Windscreen<\/strong> \u2013 Ensure there are no cracks that could lead to an NCT failure.<\/p>\n

Lights<\/strong> \u2013 Ensure that all the lights are working and that none of the bulbs need replacing.<\/p>\n

Indicators<\/strong> \u2013 Test the indicator\u00a0lights and make sure that they all work.<\/p>\n

Windows<\/strong> \u00a0and Doors<\/strong> \u2013 Make\u00a0sure that any electrically operated windows work and work smoothly and that all doors open and close securely.<\/p>\n

Paint & Panel gaps<\/strong> \u2013 check the car is a consistent colour all over.<\/p>\n

Suspension<\/strong> \u2013 When the car is pressed down it should return smoothly to its normal height.<\/p>\n

Wheelarches<\/strong> \u2013 Check the wheel arches for damage and also for rust.<\/p>\n

Wear & Tear<\/strong> \u2013 Make sure the condition of the car tallies with the mileage, look for wear on the carpet, seat covers, pedal rubbers, gear knob or steering.<\/p>\n
