Jaguar has unveiled a feisty younger brother to the V8 F-Type writes Geraldine Herbert<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

What is it?<\/strong> You no longer need to splash your cash on the top-of-the-range 5.0 litre V8 or 3.0 litre V6 as a \u00a0new greener and crucially cheaper turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine has joined the F-Type line up.<\/p>\n

First impressions of the new <\/strong>Jaguar F-type<\/strong>?<\/strong> \u00a0Stylish, sassy, sexy, this seductive two seater is simply one of the most stunning looking cars. Subtle changes to the 2017 car include brand new led headlamps and redesigned bumpers.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What about the interior?\u00a0 <\/strong>Slip into the driver\u2019s seat of the F-Type and you\u2019ll instantly feel like a star. Everything\u2019s geared towards making you feel glamorous, right down to the sports steering wheel and sumptuous seats. The F-Type also gets the latest touch pro infotainment system. Luggage space at 310\u00a0litres means you won\u2019t struggle to swallow the spoils from a day\u2019s worth of shopping.<\/p>\n

Engine choice? <\/strong>The new 296hp 2.0 petrol engine is the most powerful four \u00a0cylinder ever in a production Jaguar.<\/p>\n

Jaguar F-type<\/strong> on road? \u00a0<\/strong>It is also the lightest F-Type ever and can accelerate from 0-100 in only 5.7 seconds with a top speed of 250km\/h. On the road it feels light, agile and precise and sounds incredible with an engine growl that is sure to turn heads and \u00a0the steering is incredibly accurate, just point it in the direction you want to go and off it shoots.<\/p>\n

How much? <\/strong>While it\u2019s not cheap at \u20ac65,000 when you consider its \u20ac30,000 cheaper than its more potent brother the new F-Type is a steal plus fuel economy is a decent 7.2 litres\/100km or 39.2mpg and CO2 emissions are 163g\/km.<\/p>\n

How safe?<\/strong>\u00a0The F-Type comes equipped with a full array of safety features to lessen the risk of accidents and to protect occupants and other road uses. New technologies including Autonomous Emergency braking, Lane Keep Assist and Driver Condition Mointor.<\/p>\n

What are my options?<\/strong> There is also the range topping\u00a0 F-Type with its 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol producing 495hp or a 3.0 litre with 380 hp.<\/p>\n
