What is it?\u00a0<\/strong>The Citroen Grand C4 Picasso is a versatile MPV that embraces Citroens signature quirky style.<\/p>\n

Who is it aimed at?\u00a0<\/strong>The Grand C4 Picasso is aimed at those looking for a practical and stylish 7 seater with a touch of French flair in a compact package.<\/p>\n

Styling?<\/strong>\u00a0MPVs are never the most stylish cars on the road but the Grand C4 Picasso benefits from Citroen\u2019s trademark quirky styling with smooth lines and a sleek front end while the 3D taillights do help to give the car a slightly wider appearance from the rear.<\/p>\n

Grand C4 Picasso offer several different interiors<\/p><\/div>\n

Under the Bonnet?<\/strong>\u00a0The car tested was powered by a 1.6l Bluehdi with 120PS. It won\u2019t win any drag races but is perfectly adequate for everyday driving.<\/p>\n

What about inside?\u00a0<\/strong>Inside the Grand C4 Picasso is extremely versatile. The dashboard is clean and uncluttered and the vast amount of glass makes for a bright and airy cabin. Each of the 5 rear seats folds independently so it\u2019s extremely adaptable for carrying any size or shape of load, even with passengers on board. The 3 seats in the middle row are of equal size and will allow for 3 ISOfix seats to be installed easily and there\u2019s no tunnel to get in the way of a support leg in the middle seat. Also, with a child seat installed in the middle there\u2019s plenty of space for adult passengers on either side.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On the Road?\u00a0<\/strong>Despite looking a little on the awkward side, the Grand C4 handles surprisingly well and felt at home on narrow country roads. There is little or no engine noise and the suspension soaks up bumps with ease.<\/p>\n

And Safety?\u00a0<\/strong>Standard safety equipment includes ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution & Emergency Braking Assistance, Electronic Stability Control with intelligent traction control, Automatic parking brake, Hill start assist and automatic activation of hazard warning lights while inside the cabin there is an unfastened seatbelt visual warning system.<\/p>\n

What are my options?\u00a0<\/strong>The entry level \u201cTouch Edition\u201d comes with 16\u201d alloy wheels, cruise control, rear parking sensors, 7\u201d touchscreen and a height adjustable driver\u2019s seat. Upgrading to \u201cFeel\u201d will get you 17\u201d alloys, cornering fog lights, tinted windows, front and rear parking sensors with a reversing camera, Citroen Connect Nav and a 12\u201d touchscreen.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>

There is also a new Hands-Free Tailgate<\/p><\/div>\n

The range topping \u201cFlair\u201d trim level also comes with a panoramic sunroof, park assist, a motorised rear tailgate, keyless entry and start, aircraft style tray tables, half leather interior, active seatbelt safety system, blind spot monitoring and a Relax function on the front passenger seat. This level comes with 18\u201d alloy wheels.<\/p>\n

There is one petrol engine available, a 1.2l 130PS manual version. The 1.6 diesel engine is available as both a manual and automatic with 120PS and the range topping 2L diesel engine has 150ps.<\/p>\n

Will it break the bank?<\/strong>\u00a0The model tested was a Feel Blue HDi 120 S&S which costs \u20ac32,820. With annual road tax of just \u20ac190 and fuel consumption of 4.0l\/110km (70.6mpg) it\u2019s certainly cheap to run.<\/p>\n

So the verdict?\u00a0<\/strong>The Grand C4 Picasso is extremely practical and the interior configuration is versatile enough to cover any eventuality.<\/p>\n
