Sporting the Blue Motion badge at the rear our car was equipped with all of Volkswagen\u2019s fuel saving and efficient technologies and products such as a start-stop system, brake energy regeneration and a coasting function. Top speed is 212km\/h and the 0-100 km\/h is achieved in 9.8 seconds.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/wheelsforwomen.ie\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/vw_cc_interior.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"vw_cc_interior\" src=\"http:\/\/wheelsforwomen.ie\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/vw_cc_interior.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"388\" \/><\/a><\/strong>Inside<br \/>\nInside the CC is sublime and it has one of the nicest cabins around in any price class. With an \u00a0exquisite two tone colour scheme the materials and build quality are excellent. In addition it can now accommodate five adults and with a 532 litre boot there is more than enough space for a three wheeler pram or alternatively a double buggy will just about fit<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<strong>On the Road<br \/>\n<\/strong>On the open road is where the CC really delivers on its promise and it is beautiful to drive. The suspension is refined and comfortable and gives just the right amount of sportiness without ever feeling firm or rigid. The 2.0 diesel is punchy and the steering is beautifully weighted with good feedback. Despite its size, for city driving it handles and corners effortlessly. The DSG, a dual clutch gearbox, is slick and fast and gear changes are virtually undetectable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Safety<br \/>\n<\/strong>The CC&#8217;s has not yet received a star rating from the Euro Ncap \u00a0but the Passat on which it is based achieved the top five stars so there is no reason to believe the CC won&#8217;t achieve the same when it is tested. Inside there is an abundance of airbags and a host of safety aids.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Verdict<br \/>\n<\/strong>The keen pricing of the CC means it is a far cheaper option than any of the rival<strong> <\/strong>four-door coupes such as the Mercedes-Benz CLS and\u00a0 Audi A5 Sportback.\u00a0 It may not carry the prestige badge of the rivals but nothing on the market currently, at this price, gives as much style inside and out.
