Boot space is also good with a\nvery generous 467 litres of capacity and there is oodles of storage\nspaces and cubby holes. It&#8217;s also stuffed with big-car technology\nincluding VW&#8217;s latest MIB3 infotainment package which brings a clean\ndash and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as wireless\nphone charging capability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Under the bonnet? <\/strong>Engine options include two petrol, a 1.0 TSI 115bhp and a 1.5 TSI 150bhp and one 1.6 TDI 115bhp diesel both manual and DSG automatic transmissions.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wheelsforwomen.ie\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/SkodaScala_main2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20624\" width=\"850\" height=\"353\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>And\non the road?<\/strong>\n The 1.0 petrol is perky and yet smooth and refined. The Scala is not\ngoing to worry rivals in terms of driving dynamics but it handles\nwell and feels light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Will it break the bank? <\/strong>You\u2019ll get plenty of goodies with every Scala including 16\u201d alloy wheels; Dynamic rear LED indicators, air-conditioning and a 6.5\u201d colour touch screen unit. Trade up to the next trim the Style model for extras including 17\u201d alloy wheels and full LED headlights as well as the Bolero 8\u201d infotainment unit. Prices start from \u20ac23,650 for the 1.0 TSI 115bhp, so for now until the new entry-level model is launched it is actually more expensive to buy than the Octavia that starts from \u20ac22,025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How safe is it? <\/strong>Designed to keep not only you and yours safe the Scala scored especially high in the Euro NCAP test assessments of adult occupant safety and cyclist safety and achieved an overall five star rating<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why\nyou will like it?<\/strong>\nThere&#8217;s something very reassuring about the new Scala.
