Aoife Raftery, showcased her resilience and skill during the challenging Rally Estonia. Alongside her co-driver, Hannah McKillop, when they changed a punctured wheel in less than two minutes., a testament to their meticulous pre-event practice.<\/p>\n

Competing in the Junior category of the FIA European Rally Championship, the duo, piloting a PCRS Rallysport-prepared Peugeot 208 Rally4, has consistently improved their performance with each event. Rally Estonia marked the fourth of six rallies in their championship journey this season.<\/p>\n

The rally kicked off on Friday night, with Raftery and McKillop consistently posting top-ten class times. However, their race faced a significant hurdle on stage nine, Saturday afternoon. Amidst torrential rain and thunderstorms, which transformed the tracks into treacherous terrains filled with deep ruts and rocks, their Peugeot struck a rock causing a front-right puncture.<\/p>\n

Demonstrating their preparedness, Raftery and McKillop swiftly enacted their practiced wheel change routine and despite the setback, their efficiency minimized further damage, allowing them to complete the rally in eighth place in their class, marking their fourth consecutive top-ten finish.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the weekend, Raftery praised McKillop\u2019s navigational skills and their cohesive teamwork, especially during the puncture incident. Despite the challenging conditions, the pair gained valuable experience and expressed gratitude to the Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy and PCRS Rallysport for their support.<\/p>\n

Raftery\u2019s impressive performance amidst adversity highlights her determination and the duo\u2019s potential as they continue their campaign in the European Rally Championship.<\/p>\n
