\"\"<\/a>Circle K is back with its heartwarming \u2018When You Fill, Support Jack and Jill\u2019 campaign, just in time for Cannonball 2024.<\/strong><\/em>
\nFrom September 6th to 8th, 1c from every litre of miles and milesPlus fuel sold at participating Circle K locations will go directly to the Jack and Jill Children\u2019s Foundation. Last year, this initiative raised over \u20ac105,000, translating to nearly 5,800 hours of nursing care for families in need.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event is set to be even bigger, with Circle K fueling the supercars of Cannonball 2024 as they tour across six counties. If you\u2019re near Meath, Wicklow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Galway, or Leitrim, don\u2019t miss the chance to see Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and more at select stops, including Circle K in Gorey and Kilcullen. Plus, every fill-up at these sites supports a great cause.<\/p>\n

Ciara Foxton, MD of Circle K Ireland, expressed excitement about the return of this initiative, highlighting the tangible impact it has on Jack and Jill families. Deirdre Walsh, CEO of the Jack and Jill Children\u2019s Foundation, echoed this sentiment, calling the campaign a \u201clifeline\u201d for families and thanking all who contribute.<\/p>\n

So, fuel up, catch some supercar action, and support a wonderful cause\u2014all in one go!<\/p>\n

About the Jack and Jill Children\u2019s Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jack and Jill is a nationwide charity that funds and provides up to 100 hours per month of in-home nursing care and respite support to families caring for children, up to the age of six, with severe learning disability associated with complex medical needs.<\/p>\n

Typically, these children may be tube fed, oxygen dependent, may not sleep, take seizures, need a lot of medication and require around-the-clock care. Understandably, their parents can be exhausted and need a break, which is where Jack and Jill comes in. Jack and Jill\u2019s service operates seven days a week, with no means test, no red tape and no waiting list. Another key part of the service is end-of-life-care for all children up to the age six, irrespective of diagnosis, empowering parents to take their child home to die at this most difficult time.<\/p>\n

Jack and Jill was founded by parents Jonathan Irwin and Mary Ann O\u2019Brien in 1997, based on their experience of caring for their son Jack. Jack and Jill’s mission is to empower the families it supports to care for their child at home, by funding and delivering nursing, respite and advocacy. The charity must raise over \u20ac7.5 Million in 2024 to keep this vital service going, with approximately 22% coming from the HSE.<\/p>\n

Jack and Jill currently supports 416 families in communities across Ireland. This support is often described as \u2018a gift of time\u2019 or a \u2018lifeline\u2019, giving parent carers a break from their 24\/7 care regime, safe in the knowledge that their child is well cared for at home, where they belong.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
