When I win the lotto (when, not if) it will be on my shopping list without a doubt. The only change I would make would be to go back to the original E24 6 series and lose the 2 rear doors!<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>BMW M5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eco lovers beware \u2013 this gas guzzler comes in a close 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place for me. 552bhp 4.4litre V8 heaven. The only thing I don\u2019t like is the headrests!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Kia Optima<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Performance wise it\u2019s not exactly exciting, but with the legendary 7 year warranty and a reasonable price tag it\u2019s a good contender for a sensible family car. I must admit it doesn\u2019t look too bad either!<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>BMW 3 Series<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A more sensible (and cheaper) option than the M5 but nowhere near as exciting. There are so many other options in this category that other than the interior the 3 series just doesn\u2019t stand out for me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Volvo V40<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this one. When I think of Volvo it\u2019s usually big, safe\u2026. And very boring but the V40 is actually a great looking car (for a hatchback with 5 doors), with a funky looking display! My choice would have to be the 2.0Litre 177bhp D4 with the 6 speed manual but I can imagine the \u201cpower meter\u201d \u2013 which tells you how much you\u2019re using and how much is left &#8211; being very distracting!<\/p>\n<p><strong>6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Mercedes Benz M-Class<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If I had a school run to do, I can imagine this being the perfect car for the job \u2013 no kerb or small child would be an obstacle. Unfortunately though, the price tag would be!<\/p>\n<p><strong>7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Mazda CX-5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It may have rear wheel drive and great handling but there\u2019s just something about this car that screams mid-life crisis\u2026.. and since the cabin isn\u2019t designed for taller drivers I\u2019ll have to give it a miss!<\/p>\n<p><strong>8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Toyota GT86<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It may be jap scrap but it\u2019s rear-wheel-drive-ness and low driving position does increase its appeal. The fact that Subaru makes the flat four engine is another plus but if I wanted a Subaru I should really just buy a Subaru! \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>9.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Kia C\u2019eed<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once again, a 7 year warranty and it seems to be a fuel miser but unlike the Optima this doesn\u2019t have the looks to bump it up the list!<\/p>\n<p><strong>10.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Peugeot 208<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The good thing about this car is that it weighs less than its predecessor, the 207, and for me that\u2019s really where the good things end! It\u2019s not that there\u2019s anything wrong with it, it\u2019s just not my kind of car\u2026.
