\nWe all have a story or memory about a car that we can share.\u00a0Najwa Cogills’s tells all about her Ford Capri Mk1 gt1600<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

My car a Ford Capri Mk1 gt1600 was produced by Ford of Europe in 1969. \u00a0 \u00a0 I basically grew up around Ford’s. My dad had a Ford Granada. I only have good memories of that car.<\/p>\n

My love for the Ford Capri started when I met my husband, who was busy building a Capri V6 at the time. We had loads of fun in that car…I know what you thinking…but let’s leave it at that lol.<\/p>\n

The Capri was also the first car I ever drove and yeah I totally fell head over heels with car and the owner. Unfortunately he lost his Capri in an accident. Its was a very sad day but we promised that we would both get one in the future.<\/p>\n

It took me years to get one as we got married and had kids, but I finally bought myself one four months ago.<\/p>\n

It took me awhile to find what I was looking for.\u00a0I was \u00a0looking for a Capri that was totally original and standard and within my budget. \u00a0I eventually spotted the car on Gumtree. The first owner had the \u00a0car for many years. Upon the owners passing the car was handed down in the family for a few generations.<\/p>\n

The Capri was very well looked after and is still in mint condition considering it being 44 years old. Its a real gem and I intent to keep it in its original form. My hubby is planning on getting \u00a0his V6 soon \u00a0so then this picture will be complete.<\/p>\n
