Looking for a good deal on a new car? Geraldine Herbert rounds up the current offers available to tempt buyers, from cash discounts to free shopping vouchers
Now is a good time to buy an Alfa Romeo, as from now until 31 December the Italian carmaker is giving a deposit contribution on all models bought on PCP finance. At Audi dealerships around the country, the Milestones 211 Sales Event has just begun. As part of the event, APR rates from 2.9% are available on selected models. The offer is available on new retail orders taken and registered before the 28 February 2021. BMW dealerships are offering low-rate finance offers across the range including 1.9pc on the 1 Series, with monthly repayments of €209 per month. The French carmaker Citroen plans to lure potential 211 buyers into their showrooms with a number of tempting deals, including 0pc APR rates on the C3, C3 Aircross, Grand C4 Spacetourer, C4 Cactus and C5 Aircross. The remaining models — such as C1, Berlingo Passenger Car and Spacetourer — have a 3.9% APR offer.
Dacia, meanwhile, is offering 0% finance rates and three months deferred payments on the Duster Prestige if ordered and registered by 31 January. Offers on the Sandero and Sandero Stepway Alternative dCi include €500 Cashback, 4.9% APR and three months deferred payments. Buyers of the Dacia Logan MCV or Logan MCV Stepway can avail of 4.9% APR and three months deferred payments. These offers are available through Dacia Bank on orders up to 31 December for registration in January 2021.
Ford has a host of offers as part of its Upgrade & Save sales promotion currently running at dealerships across the country, and you could save as much €3,150 on selected models, plus low APR loan packages, seven-year warranty and seven years roadside assistance. The promotion includes all cars ordered before the end of December and registered during January.
Honda’s Think Like Civic Campaign kicks off its 211 offers with the Civic available from €24,165 and 3.9% APR finance on selected models.
From now until 31 December, if you Book a new Hyundai you will receive as standard five years unlimited mileage warranty, five years AA Roadside Assistance and a five-year complimentary health check. Customers can also choose one of the 211 offers: five years free servicing; 3.9% APR; or an Eco Upgrade of up to €5,000. The offer applies to all passenger cars in the Hyundai range that are booked before 31 December and registered in January.
Savings can be made across the Jaguar model range for 211, with 3.9% APR offered.
Kia is kicking off its January sales push with a €500 SuperValu voucher with all cars ordered before December 18. They are also offering 0pc APR on models including Sportage, Ceed, Stonic and Niro PHEV.
Customers who opt for a new Land Rover can avail of 3.9p%APR.
To tempt buyers into their range, Lexus is offering a hybrid trade-up allowance of €2,000 on UX and NX, and 3.9pc APR on the UX, ES and NX.
Mazda is offering a combination of low finance rates and discounts across the range as follows: the Mazda2 benefits from a €750 contribution or 4.9% APR; the 3 is offered with a €2,000 contribution and 4.9% APR; the 6 is offered with a €2,000 contribution or 4.9% APR; the CX-30 with €2,000 contribution and 4.9% APR; the CX-5 a contribution of €1,500 or 4.9% APR; and the first edition Mazda MX-30 is on offer with 4.9% APR.
At Mercedes dealerships around the country, a 4.9% PCP rate is on offer across the range.
Mini will offer a rate of 2.9% with an exclusive upgrade contribution of up to €1,000 for Sport/Exclusive Style models.
Order the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV before the end of January and you will get a free Wallbox Pulsar home charge point worth €800 and 0pc APR HP finance. The new Mitsubishi Space Star is available for as little as €37 per week, with 3.9% APR PCP finance. And if you are in the market for a new pick-up truck, there is 2.9% APR HP on a new L200 or a €1,000 trade-in booster if you plan to buy before 31 January 2021. There is also low-finance HP offers across the Mitsubishi range.
Making the switch to an electric car is easier on your pocket thanks to the Power of Zero offer from Nissan Ireland in conjunction with AIB and Electric Ireland. Anyone buying a new Leaf can avail of 0% finance, a free installed home charger and one year’s free servicing. This offer is alongside tax savings of up to €1,843 as a result of the recent budget changes to the VRT and VAT rates. Also, customers purchasing a new 211 Nissan can choose from 3.9% APR finance available across the range, No Deposit Subscribe and Drive PCP finance, 0% HP finance on the new Nissan Micra or scrappage allowances of up to €5,500.
Opel passenger cars are on offer with a 2.9% APR rate plus three years free servicing. Unsure about going electric? Opel has also launched the Take Charge offer inviting customers to register their new Corsa-e in January and enjoy a free home charger from Energia, all from as little as €251 per month, thanks to the 2.9% low-cost PCP finance offer, plus a three-year free servicing offer. And in a major vote of confidence, if a buyer is not satisfied with their new EV after six months Opel will exchange the Corsa-e for an equivalent priced petrol or diesel model.
Savings of up to €4,000 are on offer from Peugeot dealers plus a finance rate from 3.9% APR on passenger vehicles. There’s 0pc finance available on LCV, deposit contribution of €500 on selected models, five-year warranty, 50p% contribution towards a three-year service plan offer on new 3008 and new 5008 and an all-new VIP roadside assistance pack.
Customers looking to buy a 211 Renault electric, hybrid or plug-in hybrid car can avail of a €1,000 green grant and 2.11% APR along with three months deferred payments. Clio and Captur customers benefit from €1,000 cashback, 3.9% APR and three months deferred payments. Megane buyers will receive €1,250 cashback, 3.9% APR HP or PCP and three months deferred payments, while Kadjar customers can take €1,500 cashback on top of the low APR offer and deferred payments. All offers are available until 31 January 2021 at dealerships around Ireland.
As part of SEAT’s 211 campaign, 0% PCP finance is available across the full SUV SEAT range. Alternatively, customers can avail of an online scrappage voucher of up to €5,000 plus a three-year service plan for just €9.99 per month. For more information on the offers, go to SEAT.ie.
Subaru has two new offers to tempt 211 buyers: an online discount voucher of €2,000 or a reduced PCP/ HP finance APR rate of 2.9p%.
Zero per cent finance deals are available on selected models in the Suzuki range.
Toyota is offering customers up to €3,000 off a new car in the form of finance contributions, a trade-in booster up to €2,500, APR from 2.9% with Toyota Financial Services, three years servicing as standard and a 2% VAT reduction To lure prospective buyers to showrooms around the country, Volkswagen is offering a range of interest-free finance deals on the new Golf, Passat and the seven-seat Tiguan and low rates on many other models, discounted service plans and flexible deposit options.
Volvo is offering 0% PCP finance on the Inscription and R-design trim levels of their XC40 and 1.9% on the Momentum trim level. Meanwhile, the XC60 is priced from €50,965 and comes with an Innovation and Audio Pack for €899.
