Volkswagen Commercial Dealerships in Ireland have reopened with several new offers for their customers in the new COVID-19 reality writes Suzanne Keane
Many businesses have suffered losses due to unexpected closure in the lockdown period, so VW have launched a range of supports to help them get back on the road.
Drive Now Pay Later
All new VW Commercial Vehicles will now come with a drive now pay later 3-month break when you avail of their hire purchase package. What this means is that payments are spread out over a 57 month rather than a 60-month period giving the customer a payment break when they first get the vehicle and allowing them to claim a VAT rebate for the purchase price of the van.
Purchase Contribution
Along with the payment break they are also giving up to €3,500 of a purchase contribution (€1,500 for a Caddy, €2,750 for a Transporter) to incentivise buyers with interest rates starting at 2.9% for hire purchase.
Approved Used Vehicle Programme
For those who aren’t quite ready to commit to a new commercial vehicle VW are also re-launching their approved used vehicle programme. Interest rates of 4.9% will be available along with deposit free leasing and these vans will come with a 12-month warranty, multi-point inspection, history check, full valeting and sanitisation service and a current CVRT.
New Models
A new and improved Caddy is expected to arrive here early next year, and we can expect an electric version of the Transporter to arrive in Ireland in the coming months with a 130km range and a 1,000kg payload. An electric Crafter should be reaching our shores in Q3 of 2021.
However, if you were lusting after an Amarok these are no longer being made for the Irish market and there are only a handful left in dealerships so don’t delay – you’ll have to hold out until 2023 for a new model.
If you’re interested in purchasing any of these vehicles you can now book an online sales consultation with a VW Commercial Product Specialist and avoid an unnecessary trip to the dealership. Finance can now also be arranged online.
