The Central Statistics Office (CSO) has today published Vehicle Licensing figures for May 2020. The number of new cars licensed for the first time in May 2020 was 1,490 compared to 9,126 in May 2019, a drop of 83.7%.  In the first five months of 2020, almost 1 in 5 new cars licensed was a hybrid or electric.
