Naas driver Róisín Sweeney is the first woman to win a Formula Sheane race since David Sheane introduced the class more than 20 years ago.
Driving the Nordic Spirit Ireland car, she took the lead at the start and held on for a historic victory announced by Motorsport.ie and Motorsport Ireland.
Sweeney entered the series in 2026.

Away from the circuit, Sweeney is an aerospace engineering graduate and now works at Milestone Aviation. Her path began in karting where she became a Motorsport Ireland Tillotson T4 champion before making history as the first woman to win the Student Sport Ireland individual karting championship.
From a karting title to a Formula Sheane podium and now a reported historic victory, Sweeney’s progress has made her one of the names to watch in Irish single-seater racing.
