With the launch of its new urban runabout the Citigo, Skoda is set to shake up the small car market. Based on the same platform and built in the same factory as the Volkswagen up! and the SEAT Mii, the Citigo is clearly recognisable as a member of the Skoda family.

On sale from today the new Skoda Citigo retails from just €9,995 and is available as a 3 or 5-door version with a choice of two petrol engines; a 1.0 Litre 60bhp or a  75bhp power unit with fuel economy from 4.5l/100km. VRT and Road Tax falls into Band-A  thanks to emissions of just 105g/km. Available as an optional extra is the new ASG 5-speed automatic transmission that also has the benefit of sequential gear changing.

On the safety front the Citigo is equipped with ESP and side Head Thorax airbags fitted as standard. The new Skoda achieved 5-star rating from the EuroNCAP when tested.

Satellite Navigation, rare in this segment, is available on all Citigo models.  Each are equipped with a mobile-sat-nav docking station as standard to which SKODA’s optional mobile navigation system (€349) can connect. This system also provides BlueTooth hands free and mp3 play back functionality for increased safety and comfort.

Prices and trim details are listed below. SKODA Ireland offer an attractive finance option for Citigo called PCP Solutions. This package provides customers with an attractive 1.99% APR over 3-years which also includes 3-years servicing, warranty and roadside assist from €99 per month.
